My Elevator Pitch:
The Name of my company is Entertainment Spot
I think that most Americans waist money on cable. If you are a busy American you barely ever have time to watch television.
Out of the 300 channels you have, you may only watch 2 of them and they may last about an hour
That means that for $100 you are only using your television for 8 hours a month! That is not worth $100.
I came up with a business where you only have to rent the shows you watch for the full season! They are available when they come on as they would be with cable! The price is only $14.95 per show and you actually get to keep them stored on your devise for 6 months.
Hey Bridgett!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I thought you did a really good job overall with this pitch. It was better executed (presentation wise) than most of the elevator pitches I've seen from this class. You got people thinking of the problem they face, then introduced an efficient solution. I'd like to know more about how entertainment spot would work though. How would you work out a system with the existing cable networks and how would you create a platform to watch and store these shows?

Hello Bridgett,
ReplyDeleteI think you are really on to something here that could work. I have about three hundred different channels on my cable line-up. However, I find myself only use about ten of them on a regular basis. I’m not sure if I could afford your service to fit my needs at that price point. I would be interested in a package of channels that I most frequently use for a flat monthly fee. I hate paying for so many channels that I don’t even use. As a matter of fact, it aggravates me to even have to click on the channel just to get to the ones I do want to watch. I think the more feedback we get on our ideas the more we will tweak and adjust as needed. I think you did a great job on your elevator pitch. You were very confident and comfortable in your delivery. Thanks for sharing your idea. I hope you will take a moment to check out my pitch on my blog. Tell me what you think. http://9to5isoverrated.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no1.html

I think this is a brilliant idea. I have so many channels on my TV but I really only watch maybe 8 or 9 I can think of off the top of my head. The price point is a little much though. But I feel this can be lowered with some work. Also, Anthony is right. Your pitch is definitely among the better ones that I have taken a look at. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHey Bridgett this was one of the best ideas that I have heard thus far. However there is a lot of competition. I recently noticed that Amazon Video offers the same type of streaming. However it is still a killer idea. You did a great job in you elevator pitch, it almost made me want to invest in it. Well done and my link is below if you care to watch my pitch.http://boyettblog12.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
