A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.
What stood out to me most from my feedback was the fact that people off camera were trying to really help me figure out how to do it! They loved the idea and thought that there should really be something out here just like it.
What did you change, based on the feedback?
I didn't change anything because I got no negative feedback. It was like people were waiting for the camera to go off to drill me about how I thought of it and what it would take too get started. The topic brought about lots of conversation of the idea and other things in the world.
I really like your Idea. I think that it would work really easily actually. But the only problem would be the show themselves have contracts with certain channels and companies. If you could get past the legal ways I think a lot of people would come around and buy your business product. Great speech!
ReplyDeleteI think your idea is good, but as far as your presentation goes, you weren't dressed up, and you directly addressed the camera instead of acting like you were talking to potential investors. Otherwise, great job!

Several companies are trying to pursue this concept and are struggling with the legality and contracts among the different network providers. I hope this one day gets resolved, because there are only 1 or 2 channels that I need. As far as your speech - very good job at addressing the camera. http://flgatorblogging.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that if you could gain legal access to these shows that your product would be really great! I know that with the shows that I watch, I only watch like 10 channels at least and half the time I have my shows recorded on the DVR to fast forward through commercials.
ReplyDeleteI think your idea is good but not something super original. People have tried to do this before but there are so many contracts in place its hard to get around the legal issues. Next time I would work on dressing up and having someone else film you so it seems more professional. You have great energy and presentation. I did not complete this assignment so I cannot provide a link to my own blog.
ReplyDeleteHiya there,
ReplyDeleteWhat you want to do is extremely difficult to get into, it takes some connections to sign the companies that own those shows to stream to your Streaming Service. Along with constantly having to cut different checks for things such as but not limited to royalties, service fees to own & run your server, etc. Although it is possible, there is a lot of companies with major amounts of barriers to entry.
