My Entrepreneur Story Week 2

When I was 22 years old I meet my hair stylist and I thought that she was really cute. She always had the longest extensions and I always wanted them as well. Her and I became extremely close and she started telling me about her hair and how she ordered it over seas. Me being the researcher I am, I started looking up hair on the internet. I ordered my first batch and had her to install it. EVERYBODY ( men included) loved it. They would ask me where I got it from and how much was it. After I would tell them that I had gotten it over seas and how much it cost they were completely uninterested. I thought to myself, if I could bring over seas to America, I could make a ton of money! So I put out ads on a popular trade websites and even made a free website to sell my hair. I did that for a while but felt like it was not done right. Keep in mind I was only 22, had never owed a business, and knew nothing about it, I just knew I liked it and I could make money on it. Eventually I closed it down in order to better my brand. I wish I could say that my brand is well known but, that part of the story is yet to be written.

I honestly joined this class because it was a requirement for my degree. Now that I am apart of it and have seen some of the things we will be doing, I must admit I am excited to see what I take from it.

Below is a picture of me with my hair

  1. I really enjoyed reading your post. I like how you took something that you had a passion for and tried to turn it into a business and to make money. We are similar I did the same thing with my small family owned business at one point. I like the honesty about the course, I am also in that same boat I had to take this class but now I am excited to see what is in store for me. And you are right the picture is amazing your hair looks beautiful! Great post.

  2. Along with many other students' stories in the class, I liked the fact that you took something that you were passionate about and took a deeper interest in that field. It's also great that you were able to reflect upon your mistakes and keep those in mind for the future. You'll be able to look back on your prior business experience and use it as a helpful tool going forward with your future aspirations.
